Artisanal bread is having something of a revival. Bread has long been the symbol of connection, community and belonging. Now there’s a growing hunger to know what we’re putting into our bodies.
LEAVEN is a film about artisanal bread-making in Perth. It takes a dive into the world of artisanal bakers as well as those who make one loaf at a time in their homes.
Somehow this humble food staple is at the centre of so many stories. And that’s what we wanted to explore with LEAVEN.
